Haraya

Haraya, or hiraya, is a Filipino word for one's dreams and imagination. This is where my tagline, all things inside a wallflower's mind, started. My personal website has become my online diary, and the best way to describe it is what it was made of— dreams, vision, imagination, whatever my mind sees. My first logo shows a line spiraling down endlessly, like all the thoughts in my head, greatly inspired by John Green's Turtles All the Way Down.

One of my many dreams is to leave a mark, the kind of mark that makes a person remember how good life is, that makes a food seem tastier, an event special, or a place even more memorable because I was there. When I wrote a story for the first time, I knew I'd never stop doing it. And even though I was not able to pursue writing as a profession, it has become the best companion to my messy mind, my harbor, my pillows to cry on, my latch in life. It has been with me through think and thin, just like an ink. Like how an ink stays in our skin for a long time, writing does in my life too, and like how ink leaves a mark, I hope I do too.

Through the years, my website has become the place of my writings. It's where my stories, poems, and even journals are kept safe. It is a safe haven to my raw, honest and most vulnerable self. It doesn't speak, it only listens. Sa lunan, in this place, it can get dark but the moon does not set. It will continue glowing for the people who needs it.
